Huge Sillytoe is an interdisciplinary artist yet they work with live performance and body art more than anything else. Sometimes they create performance in art spaces, galleries, and theatres; other times in the street, on the subway, and at demonstrations. As a baby they would sneak behind chairs, remove their nappy, and cover themself in excrement before defiantly presenting themself to their conservative great aunt; as a child they would collect items of rubbish from the street and glue them together to make new toys; as an adult they continue to explore how transgressive performance might provoke socio-political change and to question the notion of waste through play.
