Escuela de Teatro Político (Political Theatre School) was a project of popular education exploring activist mobilization of different forms of performance based in Teatro Popular La Otra Cosa in Buenos Aires, Argentina from 2016 – 2020. Huge Sillytoe studied, taught, and formed part of the collective throughout 2017, during which time the group collectively explored elements of theatre of the oppressed, Brechtian epic theatre, radical clowning, choral singing, and community theatre within street interventions and staged shows across Argentina. The result of Huge Sillytoe’s workshop series playing with the possibilities of absurdist performance as a political act was the happening El Huevonazo in Plaza de Mayo, Buenos Aires, November 2017.
