Unzip the banks and feed every hungry mouth
As part of their work as artist-in-residence on the Circulart 3.0 project of Fashion B.E.S.T. at Fondazione Pistoletto Cittadellarte, Huge Sillytoe created a series of exceptionally long zips. One seventy metre long zip was used as the canvas for a seventy metre long poem written in English and performed in Toetapoelib as the zip was opened on a mountainside in the Italian Alps, as documented in the video above.
A second seventy metre long zip was used to become the guts of the Rebel Strand Mountain installation created for the Arte al Centro exhibition and featured in the performance The intestines of the mountain. The opened zip-poem was then exhibited alongside the installation and videos of the mountainside poem reading and Rebel strands street intervention.
