Occupy, Resist, Blow Raspberries: Absurdist Performance and Autonomous Art Centres

At Ouvidor 63 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Huge Sillytoe designed workshops for the collective members to experiment with how absurdist, queer, experimental performance might nourish their operation as an independent art centre and activist hub. Sessions explored how breaking with hegemonic notions of ‘sense’ might contribute to their ongoing creative resistance against the threat of eviction.
