el huevonazo

A collective happening produced in collaboration with Escuela de Teatro Político. A penguin arrives to Plaza de Mayo, the central square of Buenos Aires, carrying an enormous egg, lost. The penguin falls, the giant egg shatters on the ground, hundreds of smaller eggs that were hidden inside it begin to roll in all directions. These smaller eggs are pounced upon by an oversized eye, a cat wearing boxing gloves, an immaculate dame, and a spoon. These creatures invite the public to play games with the smaller eggs – throwing, kicking, and biting each egg until they crack open and a thin slither of handwritten poetry emerges from within. These slithers are whispered, sang, screamed aloud and then placed in the hands of the audience as gifts to carry away and pass on to another person in another part of the city.
